Make Your Own!

Our "you + me" has become three! It is a blessing to announce that our little one (whom we had lovingly nicknamed Baby Acorn) arrived this September. Welcome to the world, little Eva Pearl Clarke!
This past year has been the oddest and most fun for us. Yes, it's been stressful and lonely, but each day, we had a sneak peek of God's big plan for us. There were job transitions, opportunities to serve others in new and different ways, chances to get creative and live differently, and some time to relish in our "little secret" during these past eight months.
Because of the pandemic, a baby shower just wasn’t possible. So, we've decided to forego the usual baby registry and focus on what God needs of us as we become parents of our little girl.
You see, our little home can't fit any more than what we need, as God leads us into a season of simplicity. We both feel called to stay in our apartment in Midtown Toronto, as that’s the missions field that He has provided to us. But... staying means we are being challenged to focus only on the absolute necessities for little Eva, and not a thing more.
Our ask and hope is that YOU - our family and friends - will walk alongside us in prayer and support, as our family grows!
As we begin to meet the challenge of “only having what we need,” we are asking for a little bit of help. Even though we've made some big changes to prepare for our little one, we know that God will provide the resources. We believe that His provisions are perfect and good in timing, and we trust Him wholeheartedly.
For us, this platform allows us to purchase Eva’s necessities like clothing, nursery essentials, etc., as we ready our home and save what is left of your generous gifting for endless nappies!
We've begun to buy new and used, as we try to shop local and support small business owners while being frugal during this pandemic. Our little family is striving to be intentionally minimal and socially conscious, with a joyful focus on this awesome gift of a new family member!
This pandemic will end, and we want to return our little apartment back into a space where everyone is welcome to meet little Eva. To be honest, it's going to require some creativity, but we know that God has called us to stay where we are, and we want to honor His plans for us.
We know that Eva has entered this world knowing that she has a tribe full of wonderful people who love and pray for her, and a beautiful city to call home. We love you all, and THANK YOU for walking this journey beside us.
Until we can hug again, know that LOVE will always win.

Brought a very special gift
To the boy from the city
And the girl with the spikey-hair...”
