We are raising funds to secure housing for urban farmers who work with our firm North America Food & Farm PBC Inc (NAF2). Growing food within city limits as a profession has many challenges. High on this list is the high cost of living. As a social enterprise Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), our firm is launching an innovative initiative to provide housing as a baseline benefit for our personnel who lack affordable options, particularly our Interns and young Associates. Please help us today!

Latest Update

Hey folks! Many thanks again for being our early supporters. As you may know, first contributions for a crowdfunding campaign are critical to its success. They show a base of support that often encourages others to contribute. Out update tonight is that Kervens is still in urgent need of housing. We are doing our best as a firm to bridge his essential needs until we can secure the apartment we have reserved for him at Glenrose Gardens in South Atlanta. In the meantime, he continues to work daily on our client projects to earn wages for his food and travel. In this attach image, Kervens is removing invasive grass weeds from a sweet potato farm bed at the Sweet Potato Cafe in Stone Mountain Village. He is doing his part, let's continue to do ours as a community of love and support. Beyond your personal monetary contributions, please continue to share this campaign widely within your social networks. We are very close to making this happen! - Kwabena "Cubby" Nkromo, NAF2 Board Chair

One of the most powerful aspects of this initiative to me is our collaboration with the management & owner of the Glenrose Gardens. This will be the location of our first affordable apartment unit, with an option under our company lease to add additional units for our personnel as needed. Glenrose Gardens is a family friendly, safe with 24 security patrol by resident-based staff, and well maintained with premium amenities (on-site gym & playground for children, "Soul Space" gathering room, large community center, etc). Most appropriately from our vantage point as an urban agriculture concern, the complex features a thriving relatively large scale urban farm and ranch (yes, there are chickens & goats!) at the center of the property. With the working class profile of it resident population, Glenrose as an Intentional Community focused on sustainable living could hardly be more perfect as a mission aligned "village" to locate our aspiring sustainability leaders. - NAF2

This is Kervens Salomon, a new Associate with North America Food & Farm PBC's Garden & Farm Development Division. He is from Boston MA but his family heritage harks from Haiti. Kervens has committed himself to the vocation of being an urban farmer, to fulfill his desire to be a part of the solution to food insecurity for others. He is currently experiencing housing insecurity and our firm is responding by lending our credibility with Glenrose Gardens apartments to qualify him for a home there. Please help us pay the upfront costs of getting Kervens moved in today. We deeply appreciate your solidarity!
